The run, which is yearly organised by the municipal council, is deeply rooted in Hospitalet. Its high number of runners proves that people were eagerly awaiting the race to go back to normal.
The race was supported by the Diputació de Barcelona, as well as by private sponsors such as Decathlon, Aigües de Barcelona and the Granvía 2 shopping centre.
The event also reserved a space for the youngest, with activities organised for children under the age of 14.
At the end of the race, prizes were awarded to the winners, followed by concerts and different activities such as a fideuá tasting. At the end of the race, Francesc Josep Belver, councillor for Strategic and Economic Planning, Youth and Sports of the Hospitalet City Council, handed over the cheque with more than 4,000 euros to Dr Montserrat Figuerola, manager of the ICS’s Southern Metropolitan Territorial Area, and Josep Angel Duró, Staffing Director at the HUB.
Eloi Badia (15'03") and Zoya Noumov (16'36") won the 5 km race, while Jorge Cano (31'47") and Txell Jarque (35'42") won the 10 km race.
