The Bellvitge and Viladecans Emergency Services organise the 27th Catalan National Congress on Emergency healthcare

On 31 March and 1 April, the 27th Catalan National Emergency Medicine Congress by the Catalan Society of Emergency Medicine (SoCMUE) is taking place at the Hotel Melià Sitges auditorium

This year the congress is organised by the Emergency services of the Bellvitge University Hospital and the Viladecans Hospital. The president of the local organising committee is Dr Pierre Malchair and the president of the local scientific committee is Dr Javier Jacob.

After two years marked by the pandemic, this edition of the congress is back to normality and with innovative format. Under the theme ‘7/24 urgent solutions’, the event aims to highlight the value of teamwork and networking in the response to urgent demand 365 days a year.

The scientific activities proposed by the working groups and the scientific committee aim to provide a holistic and up-to-date vision of the demand for emergency care, in terms of territory, technology, complexity and professional talent.

The programme mainly includes ten round tables and ten workshops on topics of interest for the specialists, plus the opening conference, oral communication sessions, poster sessions, working group meetings, trade exhibitions and the regular SoCMUE assembly.
