The Bellvitge Hospital allows a visitor also for COVID-19 patients

-

In view of the current epidemiological situation, from Tuesday 12 April, the Bellvitge University Hospital allows a visitor for COVID-19 patients.

Therefore, the regulation applicable so far for non-COVID patients has been now extended to COVID-19 patients, allowing one visitor per patient, from 1 pm to 9 pm from Monday to Friday, and from 9 am to 9 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
COVID-19 patient visitors are required to wear an FFP2 type mask.

Visiting hours for all of the other units remain unchanged. Thus, for the Intensive Care units and the Emergency Reanimation Unit, visiting hours are from 1.30 pm to 3 pm and from 8 pm to 9 pm; and for the Post-Surgical Reanimation area, from 7 pm to 8 pm, always one visitor per patient. For A&E, Outpatients, Cabinets and the Major Outpatient Surgery Unit, one visitor per patient is allowed. For the Semi-critical Care units, the opening hours are from 1 pm to 3 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm, for one visitor only, all week long.

In the Major Outpatient Surgery (MOS) area, the access of a family member/visitor is permitted on admission. Once the patient has been admitted, the visitor must leave until they are called back in by the infirmary, once the procedure has been completed, and they are allowed to remain by the patient during the admission. In this case, it must always be the same visitor per patient.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone for their understanding for the visit limitations caused by the pandemic all along these months.
