The Head of the Gynecology Service of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), Dr. Jordi Ponce has been selected as one of the ten best gynecologists in Catalonia, according to care, research and teaching criteria.
Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona (1989) in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology (1990-1994) at the HUB. He holds a PhD in Medicine (1998) and a Nubiola Prize (1999) from the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. He has a master’s degree in integrated health services management from the ESADE School of Advanced Business Studies (DSIS 2003-2004 and EMDOS / EMHOL 2014-2015) with a training stay at Georgetown University (Washington, USA). He is also a member of the direct boards of various national and international scientific societies and the head of robotic surgery innovation at IDIBELL (since 2009).
He is currently responsible for the International Course in Gynecological Surgery at the HUB and works as an associate professor at the University of Barcelona.
