Over 164 pages, the book Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge. 50 anys, a journey through the entire history of the hospital center in the changing political, social, economic and cultural context of these five decades. It follows from the circumstances of the planning and construction of the hospital to the recent covid-19 pandemic, through the protests and strikes of the seventies, the growth of the environment as a health, teaching and scientific center during the nineties, or the important renovation of infrastructures that it experienced from the turn of the millennium. It includes more than 150 photographs from all eras, mostly from the hospital's extensive audiovisual collection.
