Acreditations ERN
The ERNs (European Reference Networks) are virtual networks of healthcare providers from across Europe with the mission of facilitating discussion on rare or complex conditions and diseases that require highly specialized treatment and a concentration of knowledge and resources. The HUB is accredited as a member of:
- EURACAN (European Reference Network on adult cancers [solid tumors]),together with the Catalan Institute of Oncology
- ERN-EYE (European Reference Network on Eye Diseases) [full member].
- ERN EURO-NMD: European Reference Network on neuromuscular diseases.
Acreditations CSUR
CSUR (Centers, Services, and Reference Units) is an accreditation granted by the Ministry of Health through the Quality Agency when a center meets the necessary conditions to treat specific complex pathologies. HUB is accredited as a CSUR in:
- Intraocular tumors of adult (together with the ICO)
- Reconstruction of the complex ocular surface / keratoprosthesis
- Brachial Plexus Surgery
- Crossed Kidney transplant
- Soft tissue sarcomas and other musculoskeletal tumors in adults
- Rare neuromuscular diseases
- Renal tumors with vascular involvement ( together with the ICO)
- Orbital decompression in thyroid eye disease
- Treatment of resistant osteoarticular infections
- Multiple sclerosis
- Orbital tumors
- High-risk and intermediate-risk germ cell tumors resistant to first-line chemotherapy in adults (together with the ICO)
- Hereditary retinal dystrophies
Acreditations UEC
The Clinical Expertise Units (CEUs) are teams accredited by the Catalan Health Service as functional units with experience and knowledge in the care of a rare disease or group of rare diseases. The HUB (Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge) is accredited as a CEU in:
- Lysosomal diseases
- Neuromuscular diseases
- Immune diseases: area of primary immunodeficiencies
- Systemic Autoimmune Diseases (UFMAS)
- Interstitial lung diseases
- Respiratory malformations
- Ventilation disorders
Excellence Accreditations
- International Excellence Accreditation of the Fracture Unit by the IOF
- European Centre of Excellence in Gynaecological Surgery by the ESGO
- European Accreditation as a Centre of Excellence in PET/CT Diagnosis
- Accreditation of the Clinical Laboratory according to the UNE-EN ISO 15189:2013 standard
- Accreditation of the Sleep Unit as a multidisciplinary high-complexity unit in the Excellent category by SEPAR
- Excellence Accreditation of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit by GETECCU
- Accreditation of the Ventilation Unit as a multidisciplinary high-complexity unit in the Excellent category by SEPAR
- Certification as a Reference Centre for conducting rotations of the FLANC, granted by FLANC (Latin American Federation of Neurosurgical Societies)
- The URV is recognized by the Spanish Society of Atherosclerosis and the Network of Lipid Units of Catalonia as a center of excellence.
- The Spondyloarthritis Unit of the Rheumatology Department received the 'Advanced Level Quality Certificate' in November 2020 from the Spanish Society of Healthcare Quality (SECA).
- Centre of Excellence in the treatment of advanced heart failure and community heart failure by the SEC
- High-complexity Excellence Unit in diffuse interstitial lung disease by SEPAR
- Centre of Excellence in Advanced Coloproctology by the AECP
- Accreditation of the Pathology Department according to the UNE-EN ISO 15189:2013 standard
- Accreditation by ESOC (European Stroke Organization) as a Comprehensive Stroke Care Centre
- European Accreditation and Certification as a Centre of Excellence in Neurosurgical Training. Awarded by the Joint Residency Advisory and Accreditation Committee (JRAAC) of the EANS (European Association of Neurosurgical Societies) - UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists).
- Reference Centre for the care of Erdheim-Chester Disease accredited by the ECD Global Alliance
- Accreditation by SEPAR as a Centre of Excellence for Interventional Pulmonology and Endoscopy
