Prevention of eating disorders

El Prat de Llobregat - Centre Cívic Palmira Domènech

Eating disorders are characterized by altered behavior, thoughts, and attitudes toward food and eating. These are serious illnesses that affect not only people's physical health, but also their psychological and social functioning. Early detection and appropriate treatment greatly improves their prognosis, although prevention from childhood, both in the family and in the social sphere, can help prevent its occurrence. During the talk we will talk about the different factors, both nutritional and psychological, that help prevent these disorders and maintain good health; of how we can contribute, as a society, to its prevention. Balance is our biggest ally in the fight against eating disorders and obesity.
