The Medical Oncology Service (MOS) is a specialty of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) that brings together a team of professionals dedicated to the comprehensive care of patients. The doctors are organized into four areas based on oncological pathology or areas of expertise, encompassing all lines of medical treatment for solid neoplasms. This includes an inpatient ward, a Functional Unit for early-phase studies (Phase Y), and an oncological geriatric coordinator.
The MOS at ICO Hospitalet provides services at the Duran y Reynals Hospital and the Bellvitge University Hospital, and extends oncology coverage throughout the southern metropolitan area of the province of Barcelona by deploying specialist oncologists to a network of seven hospitals.
