Specialist in Thoracic Surgery since 2010 and Associate Professor of Anatomy since 2005, with extensive training and experience in robotic surgery and thoracoscopic surgery, as well as in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. His main areas of interest include the surgical treatment of thoracic tumors using minimally invasive and advanced techniques, incorporating multimodal approaches with neoadjuvant treatment, molecular analysis of surgical patients, surgery for emphysema, first rib surgery, educational innovation, and anatomy with clinical application.

Key Achievements and Contributions:

One of his major contributions was the publication in Lancet Oncology in 2024 of the results from the NADIM study, an academic study by the GECP on perioperative chemotherapy and immunotherapy in lung cancer, in which his department participated. He also established a research line to assess the prognostic value of circulating tumor DNA in thoracic tumors.
