Doctors from the ICS’s Southern Metropolitan Territorial Management have been recognised with several Awards for Excellence of the Official College of Doctors of Barcelona (COMB). This year's award winners have stood out for their excellence, professional career, honesty, commitment, altruism and integrity.
The awards have been presented annually since 2004 at the discretion of juries made up of prestigious medical professionals. As such, the awards are the recognition of the medical profession to healthcare professionals and teams that have stood out for an exemplary career of the highest quality and for the exaltation of the medical values. The winners of the 2022 edition in the South Metropolitan Territorial Management - who represent the vocation of service and professionalism of Bellvitge Hospital (HUB), Viladecans Hospital and South Metropolitan Primary Care – are the following.
- In the category of Hospital Care: Josep COMÍN head of the Cardiology Service, Bellvitge Hospital.
- In the category of Medical Education: Carmen CABELLOS, Internal Medicine / Infectious Diseases Service, Bellvitge Hospital.
- In the category of Humanities, Cooperation and Management: Tomàs MARTÍ, Ophthalmology Department, Bellvitge Hospital.
- In the category of Humanities, Cooperation and Management: Jaume ROIGÉ, Anaesthesiology Department, Viladecans Hospital.
- In the category of Care Teams: the care team of the EAP Vila Vella, El Serral and Consultori Torrelles de Llobregat, Sant Vicenç dels Horts, led by Montse FERRER, Montse MANICH, Laura PINILLA and Yolanda SALVI.
- In the Primary Care category: Mireia SERRANO, CAP Masquefa/EAP Martorell Rural.
The awards ceremony will take place on 28 November at the Auditori AXA.
